ILLINOIS RIVER JAM 2023 SEP. 28 29 30

Tickets available at the gate!!

$60 weekend

$40 saturday only

Illinois River Jam is an annual camping and music gathering held on the banks of the Illinois River in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  For more than thirteen years, Oklahoma music fans have come to Illinois River Jam to enjoy a weekend of songwriters, pickers and bands in beautiful Northeast Oklahoma. Three evenings of music on one stage, under a big tent set up in the middle of the campground. This is a fall gathering after the busy summer tourist season so the weather is usually beautiful and we have the place all to ourselves!  It’s BYOB! Bring in all the food you want. Bring your kids (12 and under free). Bring your favorite lawn chair.  Our policy is friendly and chill. In an effort to keep this a small festival, tickets to the event are limited. If you are new to our gathering then please read the FAQ page below for all the details and we hope you will join us in September!

THE DETAILS

Music - Music is all on one stage under the big tent from 5pm-10pm on Friday and Saturday plus a special Thursday night welcome set with Kierston White and friends at 7pm. Music at IRJ is Rain or shine!  We take pride in making this festival focused on music so the whole thing is a little bit more like a concert than a music festival. So we ask that if you are under the tent, please respect the performers and the people around you by listening and enjoying these great musicians.  If you need to catch up with some buddies or if your own voice is what you like to hear then please enjoy it loudly anywhere on the huge property other than under the tent!

Camping - Tickets include primitive tent camping for Thursday, Friday and Saturday and is first come first serve!  Please note: All electric and RV hook up spots are all full at Peyton’s Place. If you are looking for a nice RV spot, there are other campgrounds near the festival where you could make your home base and then come and go as you please for the music! If you don’t already have an electric campsite please don't set up at one.. or you will be asked to tear down and move your camp. By purchasing tickets, you agree to follow all the rules of Peyton’s Place Campground.

Early Arrival - You are welcome to arrive at Peyton's Place earlier in the week or stay later after the festival but you will need to check in at the office when you arrive and you will be expected to pay normal rates for any extra days camping.  Your ticket covers you for Thursday, Friday and Saturday camping. If you arrive (or stay) any time other than Thursday, Friday or Saturday, make sure you stop at the office first.

Single Day Tickets - There are no single day advance tickets for Illinois River Jam. If we have not sold out then you can get a single day ticket at the gate on Saturday only for $40 cash.

Dogs - Illinois River Jam is dog friendly!  We want you to bring your camping buddy but please be considerate of other campers and other dogs.  If your dog is going to bark at everything that moves all night long then it's probably best you don't bring them along.

Food and Drink - IRJ is always BYOB and bring your own food!!  This is more of a camping event with a stage so plan to bring anything you would want or need with you.  We do not have beer/food vendors at IRJ because $12 beers are not in the spirit of our party. There is a small general store at Peyton's Place for ice, water, beer, snacks and basic camping needs as well.

The River - The campground and stage is right on the banks of the Illinois River. So definitely skip some rocks, go for a dip or drop in a line during the day!  Float trips are available at Peyton's Place and we highly recommend you enjoy one while you are there.  Pro Tips: Start early and 6 miles is the correct choice.

Vending - We do not have vendors at Illinois River Jam.  If you have a small setup of arts, crafts, handmade goods please feel free to bring them and sell them FROM YOUR CAMPSITE!  What you can’t do is set up a commerce tent anywhere near the stage.  No commercial trucks, trailers, generators etc..

Avid Indoorsman - Want to come hang at IRJ but you don’t want to camp? Your ticket allows you to come in and out as you please so you can always sleep in some other indoor location. There are several other campgrounds that may be able to offer a private cabin VERY close to the festival but you should contact them early. We recommend War Eagle resort. There are hotels in Tahlequah but we DO NOT recommend that you drive hwy 10 at night. If you are drinking don’t drive anywhere. Ever.

Lastly our policy is to be cool, be friendly and be chill.  We strictly enforce this policy by example.  If you or anyone in your party is not following the basic rules of civility, is too intoxicated or especially is distracting from the show they will be asked to leave.
