Illinois River Jam is an annual camping and music gathering held at Peyton's Place campground on the banks of the Illinois River in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Since 2007, Oklahoma music fans have come to Illinois River Jam to enjoy a weekend of songwriters, pickers and bands in beautiful Northeast Oklahoma. Three evenings of music on one stage, under a big tent set up in the middle of the campground. This is a fall gathering after the busy summer tourist season so the weather is usually beautiful and we have the place all to ourselves. It’s BYOB! Bring in a cooler and all the food you want. Bring your kids (12 and under free). Bring your favorite lawn chair. Our policy is friendly and chill. In an effort to keep this a small event, tickets are limited. If you are new to our gathering or have questions then please read below for all the details!! We are very proud to present these wonderful original artists in this one of a kind setting and we hope you will join us in September!

All THE DETAILS

Illinois River Jam is at Peyton's Place on scenic hwy 10 just outside of Tahlequah OK!

Music - Music is all on one stage under the big tent from 5pm-10pm on Friday and Saturday plus special Thursday night set at 7pm-10pm with Kierston White's Country Music Group Theropy followed by Travis Linville. Music at IRJ is Rain or shine! We ask that if you are under the tent, please respect the performers and the people around you by listening to the songs and enjoying these great musicians. If you need to catch up with some buddies or if your own voice is what you like to hear the most, then please enjoy it anywhere on the huge property other than under the tent during the show.

Camping - Tickets include primative camping Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Peyton’s Place! Please make sure you don't set up at an electric campsite or RV site that isn't yours or you will be asked to tear down and move your camp. By purchasing tickets, you agree to follow all the rules of Peyton’s Place Campground.

You Lost Me at Camping - Get a sweeeet cabin or bunkhouse at War Eagle Resort 4minutes from the concert and come and go as you please for the weekend. Or check out many of the funky and cool airBnB's around the Illinois River! If standard hotel is your move then you can find that 15 minutes back into Tahlequah. If you plan to drink then bring a tent and don't drive anywhere ever.

RV and Electric sites - The electric and RV sites at Peyton's Place deserve an explaination. The first thing to know is, they are all fully booked. Most of the spots have been booked by the same people and families that have been in those spots going back as far as 2010 and have been back every single year since. This is another of many ways that IRJ is more like a reunion than a music festival and we understand why some folks might feel it dosen't make sense. There is no wait list or someone who can hook you up with one. These few spots were a hot commodity and sold out from day one (sixteen IRJ's ago!). Several RV sites, electric sites and the handful of onsite cabins are filled with people who work on our team as well. Between the 15 year hardcore supporters and the people performing and working, the spots are just full.

How to get an RV or Electric site - The best move, if you are looking for a spot to park your RV or want to set up at a fully electric spot, is to very seriously consider makeing a reservation at War Eagle just 4 minutes down the road! The campsite is beautiful and it's a really great spot make your home base during Illinois River Jam. As for the onsite upgrades at Peyton's Place: Starting this year, any upgraded electric or RV spots that are unpaid or do become available for any reason will be go on sale to the general public on our website on Sept 15th and will be up for grabs each year going forward. If you are one of the very few lucky folks who does have an electric or RV spot, please know that we love you and want to thank you for coming to our event for so many years in a row. We also want you to know there are a few hundred people who want your campsite real bad! For all the folks who want one, please check back Sept 15th.

Food and Drink - IRJ is always BYOB and bring your own food!! This is a campground with a stage, not a big music festival so plan to bring anything you would want or need with you. We do not have beer/food vendors onsite but we do have many generous campers who like to share and are just generally neighborly. There is a small store at Peyton's Place for ice, water, beer, snacks while they last, but plan to stock up with whatever you want for food and drinks before you head out to the river.

Early Arrival - You are welcome to arrive at Peyton's Place earlier in the week or stay later after the festival but you will be expected to pay normal rates for any extra days camping. Your ticket covers you for Thursday, Friday and Saturday camping. If you arrive (or stay) any time other than Thursday, Friday or Saturday, make sure you stop at the office first.

Single Day Tickets - There are no single day tickets for Illinois River Jam except for Saturday at the gate. There are no single day tickets for any other days.

Dogs - Illinois River Jam is dog friendly! We want you to bring your camping buddy but please be considerate of other campers and other dogs and keep your friends on a leash with you at all times.

The River - The campground and stage is right on the banks of the Illinois River. So definitely skip some rocks, go for a swim or drop in a line during the day! Float trips are available at Peyton's Place and we highly recommend you enjoy one while you are there. Start early and 6 miles is the correct choice.

Vending - We do not have vendors at Illinois River Jam. If you have a small setup of arts, crafts, handmade goods please feel free to bring them and display or sell them from your campsite or van! What we don't do is allow anyone to set up a tent anywhere near the stage to sell anything. No commercial trucks, trailers, generators etc..

Lastly, our policy is to be cool, be friendly and be chill. We strictly enforce this by example. If you or anyone in your party is not following the basic rules of civility, is too intoxicated or is especially distracting from the show they will be asked to leave.

We are excited to be back for another year and we look forward to making more great memories with all of you this September!
